Update as of 1/4/08: Concierge at Gas Company is back after closing for a couple of months. they have another location on 3rd and Grand in the Wells Fargo building next to Russells and Robeks Juice. I've actually been buying my Pacific Grove tickets at tix2fun.com (they still sell the old version- no $2 surcharge and $6. I found a code online doing a google search. The newer pacific tickets are $6.50 now and are valid at the grove location but have a $2 surcharge.

Cheap Movie Tickets - Pacific Theatre at The Grove

I often purchase discounted "group activity" movie tickets at the concierge in the Gas Company (at the NE corner of 5th and Grand). Anyone can go. Hours vary, but you can always call ahead to find out the hours of Monica Green, the concierge (213-613-4587), to reserve tickets. Open M-F during business hours usually. It's inside the Gas Company Tower across from Starbucks; unfortunately you can't see it from the street. Cash only. I usually buy a bulk amount of tickets every couple of months.

Pacific Theatres (restricted)- only $6.00. You can use these tickets at the PacificGrove Movie Theatre anytime before 6 pm for any movie, I believe. You can also use these tickets on any movie after 6 pm if it has been open for 2 weeks. You cannot use these tickets for new movies after 6 pm. These tickets cannot be used for Pacific Arclight Theatre unfortunately.

Concierge also sells discount tickets to universal studios, disneyland, knotts berry farm, legoland, san diego zoo, san diego wild animal park and sea world. Slightly discounted prices/lots of restrictions. i don't think it's worth it to buy these tickets here.

Another concierge in downtown is at the Wells Fargo Center (Janet - 213-253-4205)- 3rd and Grand. She seems to have very sporadic hours.
