The Heartbreak Kid Movie

I knew the Farelly Brothers version with Ben Stiller was going to come out on 10/5, so I decided to rent original Heartbreak Kid movie starring Charles Grodin. I had never heard of the movie before. I had seen the previews for the newer verson and it looked really bad. After seeing the original which I truly enjoyed,I came to the conclusion that were some parts that probably could have been funnier. maybe the newer version is funnier? The original had one of those 70's type endings which you'll understand once you watch it. I'm planning on watching the newer version now.

I'm not a big Farelly brothers fan.

3:10 to Yuma (2007)

I saw 3:10 to Yuma (2007) version with Russell Crowe and Christian Bale last night at the Grove. I never did see the original but I'm sure the original was probably a lot better. Very Disappointed. Russell Crowe was pretty good. I don't know how much of the story was adapted from the original, but I did not like the ending especially. Some weird casting too. I'm not mentioning any names. I rarely see better version made of an older, classic movie. Some examples: Stepford Wives (newer, modern version) was horrible compared with the original with Katherine Ross. The newer version of Sabrina with Julia Ormand and Harrison Ford was awful. Too bad

No Reservations - The Movie

So I was in the mood for a good-feeling, romantic comedy. Decided on "No Reservations" starring Catherine Zeta-Jones and Aaron Eckhart. It was more sad, than funny. I had no idea that this movie was going to be a downer based on the marketing/advertising and trailers. All I thought after 20 minutes into the movie was "when is the movie going to be over?" Boring story, perhaps more editing should have been done to shorten the film.
