Ordered a full size W hotel bed set on 5/16. W hotels is part of the Starwood hotels. A 40% off starwood employee discount off their beds was floating around online (valid from 5/16-5/31/07). Only 2 options available (Plush and Pillowtop). Full size plush top set was $950 in May and would have been $570 with the 40% off. After checking out the bed at a nearby 1-800-mattress store (La Brea/Melrose), I decided to purchase the full size pillowtop which was much softer, but still had enough support. The 1-800-mattress sales representative told me that the W pillowtop bed was the same as the Westin Heavenly bed. Full size pillow top set was $1200 in May and was discounted to $720 with 40% off (delivery included). Tax is only charged when bed is delivered to addresses in New York. Price also included delivery and set-up of bed and removal of old bed. So far I have been happy with this bed.
Because the deal was popular at the time, I didn't receive the bed until 3 weeks after placing the order. I recently saw online another 40% off starwood employee discount floating around (valid from 8/16-8/31/07). Maybe starwood offers the 40% off discount quarterly for their employees?
